WhatsApp Rolls Out In-App Chat & Channel Translation Feature for Beta Users

Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp has started rolling out a new chat and channel translation feature to select Android users in its beta program.
First reported by WABetaInfo, the feature is currently available on beta version 2.25.12.25 and allows users to translate messages in Spanish, Arabic, Portuguese, Hindi, and Russian directly within the app.
Key Highlights:
- On-Device Translation: Works without an internet connection.
- Language Packs: Users need to download specific language packs or a multi-language pack.
- Toggle Control: Translation can be enabled per chat or channel via the chat info screen.
- Available in Private & Group Chats
