WhatsApp service disruption causes global inconvenience for users

WhatsApp users across the world — including Pakistan — are experiencing issues with sending messages, uploading statuses, and sharing media in groups due to widespread service disruption.
According to international media reports, users took to X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook to report delays and failures in message delivery. Many also faced problems with sending images and videos.
The outage has also affected users in Pakistan, with numerous complaints about delays and interrupted service.
Some users have reported similar issues with other Meta-owned platforms, including Facebook and Instagram. So far, Meta or WhatsApp has not released any official statement regarding the cause of the disruption.
It’s worth noting that WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram are all owned by Meta Platforms Inc.
