Agha Salman

Pakistan’s T20I captain and Islamabad United player Agha Salman has hinted at the possible return of pacer Hasan Ali and batter Sahibzada Farhan to the national squad, appreciating their performances in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) season.

In a recent interview, Agha expressed his dual focus during PSL 10 — aiming for Islamabad United’s fourth title and spotting potential talent for the national team. “While I’m committed to Islamabad United’s success, I’m also keeping an eye on players who can contribute to Pakistan in the future,” he shared.

Though Agha avoided naming emerging players directly, he praised Hasan Ali’s bowling and Farhan’s current form, suggesting they could be considered for future national duties. “It’s still early in the tournament, but Hasan’s bowling has been impressive, and Farhan’s consistent batting performances stand out,” he said.

He stressed the importance of understanding the modern demands of T20 cricket, saying, “Modern cricket is about managing the tempo, not just aggressive hitting. Players need to adapt to match situations.”

Agha also highlighted the critical role of bowlers in high-scoring games. “While batters win matches, bowlers win tournaments. Even on flat tracks, bowlers who give away fewer runs become game-changers,” he noted.

Reflecting on the competition, Agha acknowledged Lahore Qalandars’ strong momentum this season. “If they keep playing this way, they’ll be tough to beat. I’m from Lahore myself, so when Islamabad isn’t playing, I support them,” he added.
