Young Doctors Announce OPD Shutdown Across Punjab

LAHORE: Young doctors across Punjab have announced a province-wide shutdown of outpatient departments (OPDs), disrupting services at several government hospitals.

According to reports, OPDs at key facilities such as Children’s Hospital and the General Hospital in Lahore have ceased operations. However, other major hospitals, including Jinnah Hospital, Mayo Hospital, and Services Hospital, continue to run their OPDs as usual.

The move follows a recent protest by the Grand Health Alliance, which was dispersed by police on the previous day. The protest was reportedly held over long-standing demands related to working conditions and service structures.
