27th constitutional amendment: Farooq Sattar says MQM not consulted

Farooq Sattar, the leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), said that the 27th constitutional amendment is a matter the party has not been consulted on. Speaking to the media, he explained that MQM has no clear information about the amendment and cannot comment without seeing official details.

Sattar told Geo News at Parliament House that the party is completely unaware of the contents of the 27th constitutional amendment. He emphasized that MQM has not been included in any discussions regarding this amendment.

He further explained that so far, the party has only heard rumors and nothing official has been presented. MQM is waiting for full transparency before making any statements or decisions.

In a lighter note, Farooq Sattar added that while the party is unaware of the amendment, they do know about the “27th night,” which is considered very special in Islamic tradition as Laylat al-Qadr. He mentioned that the 27th day of fasting is also significant, and even Pakistan’s independence is linked to dates around it.

Finally, Sattar reiterated that the 27th constitutional amendment is still unknown to MQM. The party will wait for official details before giving any comment or taking any position on the matter.
