PML-N Seeks PPP’s Support for 27th Constitutional Amendment, Says Bilawal Bhutto

Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has revealed that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has formally sought his party’s support for the passage of the 27th Constitutional Amendment.
In a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter), Bilawal said that a PML-N delegation led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with President Asif Ali Zardari and himself to discuss the proposed amendment.
According to Bilawal, the 27th Constitutional Amendment Bill includes provisions for the establishment of a constitutional court, restoration of executive magistrates, and authority for judges’ transfers.

He further revealed that the amendment also proposes changes such as removing provincial share protection in the NFC Award, amendments to Article 243, returning education and population planning powers to the federal government, and resolving the ongoing deadlock over the appointment of the Election Commission.
Bilawal announced that the PPP’s Central Executive Committee (CEC) has been summoned on November 6, following President Zardari’s return from Doha, to decide the party’s official stance on the amendment.
