Gold prices soar to historic high in Pakistan

Gold prices in Pakistan reached an all-time high on Thursday, as the price of 24-karat gold surged by Rs2,500, hitting Rs304,000 per tola. The increase in gold prices comes as part of an ongoing upward trend in precious metal prices in the domestic market.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), 24-karat gold per 10 grams was sold at Rs260,631 after a rise of Rs2,144. The price of 22-karat gold also saw a boost, with the price per 10 grams increasing to Rs238,920.

Along with gold, silver prices also saw a rise. 24-karat silver was priced at Rs3,367 per tola, marking an increase of Rs55, while the price for 10 grams of silver stood at Rs2,886 after a gain of Rs47.

The surge in gold and silver prices reflects market fluctuations, influenced by various global and local economic factors. Gold, which has long been seen as a safe haven investment, continues to attract buyers as prices rise to new heights.
