The Higher Education Department (HED) has imposed a ban on mobile phone use during classes in colleges across the region. The directive applies to both teachers and students to ensure an uninterrupted learning environment.

According to an official notification sent to college directors and principals, the use of mobile phones during lectures disrupts the teaching process and negatively impacts students’ focus.

The letter further stated that strict action will be taken against those who violate the policy. The move aims to enhance the quality of education and maintain a productive classroom atmosphere.
