Ten Pakistani Nationals Arrested in UAE for Begging, Deportation Plans Underway

Ten Pakistani nationals, including five women, have been arrested in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for engaging in begging activities, according to official sources. The arrests, part of a series of operations conducted by UAE authorities, have resulted in the detainees being incarcerated, with preparations for their deportation already underway.
Among the arrested women are Amina Bibi, Kausar Bibi, Farzana Bibi, Jameela Bibi, and Zubaida Bibi. The women, hailing from various regions in Pakistan, were apprehended during multiple operations across the UAE. Amina Bibi, Kausar Bibi, and Farzana Bibi are from Vehari, while Jameela Bibi and Zubaida Bibi are from Lahore.
In addition to the women, five men—Muhammad Zakariya from Dera Ghazi Khan, Waseem Haider from Bahawalnagar, Muhammad Usman from Lahore, Ejaz Khan from Charsadda, and Abdullah from Peshawar—were also detained on similar charges of begging.
Officials from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) of Pakistan have confirmed that the detained individuals have been sent to prison in the UAE, with emergency passports issued for the men. Once the legal processes in the UAE are completed, they will be deported to Pakistan. Upon arrival, they will be taken into custody by Pakistani authorities, and legal action will be initiated against them for their involvement in begging.
The UAE authorities have formally informed the Pakistani government about the arrests, and both countries are coordinating the necessary steps for the detainees’ return and legal proceedings. The FIA has also assured the public that strict actions will be taken against those involved in such activities, highlighting the growing efforts by the UAE and Pakistan to curb illegal practices.
