Federal Government Reduces Petrol Price

The federal government has announced a reduction in the price of petrol for the next fortnight. According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Finance, the price of petrol has been lowered by Re1 per litre. The new price of petrol will be Rs254.63 per litre, effective from March 29, 2025.
However, the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) remains unchanged, staying at Rs258.64 per litre.
The adjustments in fuel prices are part of the government’s regular review process, which takes into account fluctuations in international market trends and the prevailing economic conditions in Pakistan. The revised rates reflect the government’s efforts to maintain stability in fuel prices despite ongoing global and local economic challenges.
