Public Holiday Announced in Sindh on April 17

Karachi: The Sindh government has declared Thursday, April 17 as a public holiday in NA-213 Umerkot, due to by-elections being held in the constituency.
The seat was left vacant after the passing of Nawab Muhammad Yousaf Talpur, who had been elected in the February 2024 general elections. The constituency holds significant political importance for the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
Earlier, the provincial government had also announced a public holiday on April 4 to mark the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
