Champions Trophy 2025 becomes most-watched edition in history

Islamabad: The ICC Champions Trophy 2025, hosted by Pakistan, has officially become the most-watched edition in the tournament’s history.
According to media reports, the tournament recorded an astonishing 368 billion global viewing minutes, marking a 19% increase compared to the 2017 edition — despite host nation Pakistan exiting in the first round.
The event averaged 308 million viewing minutes per event, setting a new record for any ICC event.
The final, held on March 9 in Dubai between India and New Zealand, drew massive global attention, with 65.3 billion live viewing minutes — a 52.1% increase from the 2017 final.
