Heatwave Breaks as Heavy Rain Hits Several Cities

Various cities across Pakistan witnessed heavy rainfall, bringing much-needed relief from the intense heat and turning the weather pleasant.

In Punjab, cities including Sialkot, Gujrat, Chiniot, Kasur, Ferozewala, and Sargodha, along with surrounding areas, experienced strong downpours with thunder and lightning. Daska, Narowal, Hafizabad, Safdarabad (Khanqah Dogran), Wazirabad, and Sukhiki also received heavy showers, while nearby regions such as Pindi Bhattian and Rojhan were similarly affected.

The weather turned notably pleasant in Narowal and other areas following the rain. Wazirabad witnessed strong winds along with heavy rainfall, indicating a shift in the regional weather pattern.

In Sindh and Balochistan, cities like Shahdadkot, Qambar, Mehar, Qubo Saeed Khan, and Sujawal Junejo reported moderate to heavy rainfall. Karachi experienced light morning drizzle on Thursday.

Similar weather activity was observed in Sibi and surrounding regions, with heavy rain also recorded in Dera Murad Jamali, Chhattar, Manjho Shori, and Nasirabad.

According to the Meteorological Department, the rain spell is likely to continue for the next few days, bringing further respite from the heat.
