PTI Selects Mashal Yousafzai for Women’s Senate Seat in KP By-Election

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has chosen Mashal Yousafzai as its candidate for the upcoming Senate by-election in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The election will be held on July 31, following the resignation of Sania Nishtar.
The decision to nominate Mashal came on the direct instructions of PTI founder Imran Khan. Party leadership acted quickly to finalize the ticket. This move highlights PTI’s focus on keeping influence in the Senate, especially from its stronghold in KP.
PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan officially announced the nomination. He also ordered other party candidates to withdraw their papers by July 30. This step ensures full party support behind one candidate to avoid internal competition.
Party members have expressed full confidence in Mashal Yousafzai’s leadership and political potential. PTI believes she will represent both women’s issues and party values effectively in the Senate. Her selection also reflects PTI’s commitment to promoting female leadership in politics.
In conclusion, PTI has moved fast to fill the vacant Senate seat. With elections just around the corner, the party is uniting behind Mashal. All attention now turns to the July 31 vote, which will determine who takes over the seat in Pakistan’s upper house.
