Underwater City Discovered
A team of researchers has uncovered what could be a 6,000-year-old underwater city near Cuba. The discovery was made 2,000 feet below the surface of the ocean. Experts believe it might be one of the oldest urban sites ever found.

Back in 2001, marine engineers Paulina Zelitsky and Paul Weinzweig first detected unusual stone structures. They were using sonar equipment during a deep-sea mapping project. These formations appeared to resemble man-made buildings, but the site remained largely unstudied for over two decades.

Now, new sonar scans reveal more details. The images show pyramid shapes, circular structures, and stone blocks laid out in patterns. These formations suggest the area may have once been a well-organized city.

Paulina Zelitsky described the site as possibly being a large ancient urban center. She noted the symmetry and design of the structures, pointing to human craftsmanship rather than natural formation.

If confirmed, the site could predate many ancient civilizations, including those in Egypt and Mesopotamia. This would challenge widely accepted timelines of human development and history.

Further investigation is planned to learn more about the mysterious ruins. Scientists hope the site will provide insight into early human settlements and lost cultures beneath the sea.
