Pahalgam incident: India backs away from its claims

Following Pakistan’s release of evidence-based details regarding the Pahalgam incident, India has distanced itself from earlier claims that the attackers were Pakistani nationals.

Initially, the Indian media quickly blamed Pakistan, but Pakistan responded with credible evidence, effectively countering the narrative and exposing the baseless propaganda.

India’s Integrated Defence Staff (HQ IDS) clarified via its official Twitter account that misinformation regarding the attackers’ identity and background was circulating on social media. It further stated that no such information had been released by any official military media handle or spokesperson.

Moreover, HQ IDS confirmed that the Indian government has not issued any formal statement regarding the matter.

Pakistan’s firm diplomatic approach, backed by facts, has cast serious doubt on India’s narrative at the international level.
