Shaheryar Shar, Son Booked for Girl’s Kidnapping in Ghotki

Ghotki, A case has been filed against Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader and former Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Sardar Shaheryar Shar, his son Jehangir Shar, and several others over their alleged involvement in the abduction of a young woman in Ghotki.
According to police sources, the First Information Report (FIR) was lodged at the A-Section police station following a complaint by Supreme Court advocate Ubaidullah Ghotho, who is the father of the alleged victim, Erum. He claimed that his daughter had been subjected to harassment over several days before being abducted from their residence.
The case includes charges under the Lawyers Protection Act, as the complainant is a practicing lawyer. Advocate Ghotho specifically named Shaheryar Shar, Jehangir Shar, Imtiaz Shar, and others as suspects in the abduction.
In response to the allegations, Shaheryar Shar has strongly denied any involvement, condemning the incident and asserting that he has no ties to criminal activities.
Meanwhile, a video has surfaced on social media showing a girl identifying herself as Erum, stating that she married Imtiaz Shar of her own free will. In the video, she requests protection from law enforcement authorities, adding a new dimension to the ongoing case.
It is also noteworthy that Advocate Ghotho is currently representing the complainant in the Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar attack case, further complicating the political undertones of the matter.
Earlier this year, on March 19, Shaheryar Shar, his son, and eight others were booked in connection with a March 16 armed attack on PPP MPA Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar in Ubauro. While Dahar escaped unhurt, the incident resulted in the death of his bodyguard and injuries to three others.
Authorities have stated that investigations are ongoing in both cases.
