The United States has successfully tested an intercontinental ballistic missile (Minuteman III) following Trump’s order for nuclear weapons testing. According to American media, the test was conducted early Wednesday morning and aimed to check the accuracy and readiness of America’s long-range missile system. This move has gained global attention as it marks the first time in three decades that the U.S. plans to restart nuclear testing.

The U.S. Air Force Global Strike Command confirmed that the missile was launched from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. It traveled about 4,200 miles and hit its target successfully at the Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile Defense Test Site located in the Marshall Islands. Officials stated that the test met all its technical goals and was part of routine evaluations.

The missile test, named GT-254, was conducted to assess the reliability and performance of America’s intercontinental missile capabilities. It was unarmed and carried a test reentry vehicle designed to collect flight data and monitor the missile’s path and systems.

According to U.S. media reports, the Minuteman III missile plays a key role in the country’s nuclear defense system. It is designed to be used only if the United States faces a nuclear attack from an enemy nation. Although this test had been planned months in advance, it has sparked discussions worldwide after Trump’s recent directive to restart nuclear testing.
