Fire Disrupts COP30 as Pavilion Evacuated in Brazil

The United Nations climate conference in Belém, Brazil, was disrupted when a fire broke out inside one of the main pavilions. The incident caused concern among participants, especially as the Brazil COP30 pavilion fire forced people to leave the area quickly.
According to international news agencies, the fire started on Thursday while the COP30 conference was in progress. Delegates who were inside the pavilion rushed outside as smoke and flames were seen rising from the structure.

Emergency teams arrived within minutes and worked to control the situation. The pavilion included booths from different countries and organizations, all of which were evacuated for safety.
Officials confirmed that thousands of delegates were safely taken out of the building. Brazil’s tourism minister, Celso Sabino, stated that the fire had been controlled and that no injuries were reported.

Due to the Brazil COP30 pavilion fire, all conference events scheduled for the day were cancelled as a precaution. Authorities said the area will remain closed until it is fully inspected and declared safe.
