Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi Renew PSL Deal

Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi have renewed their partnership with the Pakistan Super League by signing a PSL ten-year renewal deal. Lahore Qalandars completed their renewal after a fresh valuation process by EY. PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi praised the owners of Lahore Qalandars, saying they have turned their franchise into a global brand. PCB and PSL officials also confirmed that the league will expand to eight teams from the 11th edition next year. Peshawar Zalmi also renewed its franchise agreement for another ten years after undergoing the same valuation process by EY. PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi praised Javed Afridi’s leadership, saying that under his vision, Peshawar Zalmi has become one of the most popular teams in Pakistan. PSL CEO Salman Naseer added that Zalmi’s connection with fans plays a major role in the overall identity of the league.
