Pakistan decides immediate LNG purchase for three cargoes, as the government moved to secure liquefied natural gas through spot buying. Officials said the decision aims to meet rising energy demand and ensure stable gas supply during peak consumption periods.

Meanwhile, Pakistan LNG Limited invited international companies to submit bids for the three cargoes. The deadline for submission is set for April 24. In addition, the bids will also be opened on the same day to ensure a quick and transparent process.

Furthermore, authorities confirmed that the three LNG cargoes are scheduled for April and May delivery. The first cargo is planned for supply between April 27 and April 30. This step aims to avoid any immediate gas shortage in the system.

In addition, the second cargo will arrive between May 1 and May 7. The third cargo is scheduled for delivery from May 8 to May 14. As a result, the staggered schedule is expected to support continuous energy availability in the country.
