Pakistan’s fast bowler Mohammad Amir announces retirement from international cricket

Pakistan’s star fast bowler Mohammad Amir has retired from international cricket. His decision follows that of all-rounder Imad Wasim, who had earlier revealed his retirement plans.
In his statement, Amir expressed that representing Pakistan in all three formats of the game was a great honour for him. He stated, “Playing for Pakistan in all formats has been a huge privilege, and I will always cherish wearing the green shirt and stepping onto the field for my country.”
Throughout his career, Amir played 36 Test matches, 61 One Day Internationals (ODIs), and 62 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) for Pakistan. His last appearance in the national team was during this year’s T20 World Cup.
