Ukraine Denies Attacking Russian President’s Residence

Ukraine has denied allegations that it carried out drone attacks on Russian President Vladimir Putin’s residence. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed the claims, saying that Moscow is trying to sabotage peace talks with such accusations. President Zelensky stated that Russia is using these allegations as a pretext to continue attacks on Ukraine. He reminded that Russia has previously targeted government buildings in Kyiv, showing a pattern of aggression.

In his message, Zelensky warned that Russia should not be allowed to undermine efforts for lasting peace. He called on the international community to remain vigilant and not stay silent on such provocations that threaten regional stability.

The Russian government had claimed that Ukraine targeted Putin’s residence in the Novgorod region. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov alleged that between December 28 and 29, Ukraine fired 91 long-range drones at the residence.

Lavrov added that all 91 drones were intercepted and destroyed, calling the attack an act of state terrorism. He warned that Ukraine’s alleged irresponsible actions will face consequences. This incident further confirms that Ukraine denies attack on Putin’s residence while continuing to insist on peaceful resolution and diplomatic engagement.
