Israel Provided UAE Advanced Laser Defense System During Iran War

Israel provided the UAE with an advanced laser defense system during the Iran war, according to a British newspaper report. The report said these systems aimed to strengthen protection against missile and drone threats. This development highlights growing defense cooperation between the two countries during a tense regional period.
According to the report, Israel supplied a surveillance system called “Spectro” to the United Arab Emirates. This system can detect incoming drones from a distance of about 20 kilometers. It is especially effective against Shahed-type drones, which have been widely used in regional conflicts.
The report also stated that Israel provided a version of its “Iron Beam” laser defense system. This system can destroy short-range rockets and drones before they reach their targets. Israel has reportedly used this system earlier this year against attacks from Hezbollah in Lebanon.
In addition, Israel sent its well-known “Iron Dome” air defense system to the UAE. These systems were supported by the deployment of dozens of Israeli military personnel. Their role was to operate and manage the advanced defense equipment on the ground.

Sources cited in the report claimed that more weapons and additional Israeli personnel were also deployed in the UAE. This suggests a broader level of military coordination and readiness. The cooperation reflects shared concerns over regional security threats.
The report further said that Israel shared important intelligence with the UAE regarding missile launches from western Iran. This information helped improve early warning and response capabilities. Israel provided the UAE advanced laser defense system during the Iran war, showing deepening strategic ties between the two countries.
