Sindh CM Orders Intensified Efforts to Stop Street Crime

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah met with the new IG Sindh, Javed Alam Odho, and congratulated him on taking charge of the province’s police force. He emphasized the need for law and order in Karachi and instructed that efforts to eliminate street crime in Karachi must be intensified to ensure public safety and restore confidence in the police.
The Chief Minister extended his best wishes to the new IG and highlighted the importance of giving priority to peace and security across Sindh. He specifically mentioned that operations against criminals in underdeveloped areas must continue with full force.
Murad Ali Shah directed that the police should work to eliminate street crime in Karachi and take concrete steps to rebuild the public-friendly image of the Sindh Police. He emphasized that community trust and cooperation are key for effective policing.

He also stressed that the mission to modernize the police should continue, with special focus on making the Safe City Project more effective. The government of Sindh is committed to providing all resources necessary for the improvement of the police force, while the police must deliver tangible results.
The Chief Minister concluded by underlining that efforts to eliminate street crime in Karachi are crucial, and the Sindh Police must strengthen law enforcement, ensure citizen safety, and maintain peace across the province.
