Mohsin Naqvi Orders Crackdown on Money Laundering Mafia

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has ordered a major crackdown on mafia networks involved in money laundering, human smuggling, and the trade of fake medicines. During his visit to FIA Karachi Zone, he reviewed the performance of both Karachi and South Zones to ensure strict action is taken against these criminal activities. At the meeting, Mohsin Naqvi emphasized that major money launderers must be targeted, and the full money trail of those involved should be exposed. He specifically mentioned that hawala and illegal financial channels will not be tolerated, and that strict action must be taken without discrimination.

The Interior Minister also ordered action against agents involved in human smuggling. He stated that anyone deceiving innocent people and sending them abroad illegally must be brought to justice, and no leniency will be shown to these human traffickers.

Mohsin Naqvi highlighted the dangers of fake medicine businesses, saying that those involved in this illegal trade are putting human lives at risk. He instructed authorities to take all necessary measures to ensure offenders are arrested and prosecuted. Additionally, he said that the FIA Karachi Zone would be provided with sufficient human and material resources to improve overall performance and strengthen the agency’s reputation.

During the briefing, FIA Karachi Zone Director informed Mohsin Naqvi that in the past four months, 20 agents involved in human smuggling were arrested, and non-custom products and drugs worth 140 million rupees were seized. A facilitation center was also established at Karachi Airport to assist passengers. Mohsin Naqvi orders crackdown on mafia, signaling a firm stance against organized crime and a commitment to enforce the law effectively.
