Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang talks future of God AI

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang spoke about the concept of “God AI,” describing it as far off on a biblical or galactic timeline.

He explained that while the idea fascinates many, it is not imminent and requires careful thought and planning.

In AI discussions, “God AI” refers to an intelligence capable of mastering language, biology, physics, and other complex domains.

Huang emphasized that today’s AI systems are nowhere near this level, despite widespread media hype and speculation.

Under his leadership, Nvidia has become a key player in the AI revolution, powering GPUs and data centres worldwide.

He warned against extreme predictions, called “doomer narratives,” which suggest catastrophic outcomes from AI and could mislead the public.

Huang concluded that practical AI applications and safety should remain the focus, rather than speculative visions of omnipotent intelligence.
