US President Donald Trump has said that talks with Iran are still ongoing and a deal is necessary to avoid serious consequences. Speaking to the media at the White House, he warned that failure in Iran deal talks could lead to very negative outcomes, while a successful agreement would be a better option for all sides.

President Trump also revealed that a large US naval fleet, even bigger than the one sent to Venezuela, is moving toward Iran. He did not share operational details but stressed that the move shows how serious the situation has become.

Trump confirmed that talks between US envoy Steve Witkoff and Iran’s foreign minister are scheduled for Friday. He said diplomacy remains the preferred path, but warned that time is limited if progress is not made.

While answering other questions, Trump spoke about the Russia-Ukraine war and said efforts toward a ceasefire are underway. He added that he expects positive news on a possible truce in the near future.

The US president also denied any link to the Epstein scandal and announced plans to build a strategic reserve of critical minerals for American industries. He ended by repeating that failure of Iran deal talks would bring harsh consequences, while a deal could help stabilize the situation.
