Military leadership Stand With Kashmiris’ Freedom Struggle

RAWALPINDI – On Kashmir Solidarity Day, Pakistan’s top military leadership expressed unwavering support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to Kashmiri self-determination. They condemned human rights violations and highlighted the resilience of the Kashmiri people.
The armed forces strongly criticized extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances, arbitrary detentions, and attempts to alter the demographic and political structure in IIOJK. They stressed that these acts violated international law and intensified the oppression of the indigenous Kashmiri population. Pakistan’s military leaders reiterated their condemnation of the ongoing atrocities and affirmed support for a just solution.
They called for a peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in line with United Nations Security Council resolutions. The leaders emphasized that lasting peace and stability in South Asia depend on honoring Kashmiri aspirations. They urged the international community to take meaningful action to protect human rights and alleviate the suffering of the Kashmiri people.

The Pakistan Armed Forces also reaffirmed their duty to safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity. They expressed solidarity with Kashmiri brothers and sisters and promised to continue supporting their struggle for dignity and freedom. The statement highlighted the military’s consistent backing for Pakistan’s foreign policy regarding Kashmir.
Kashmir Solidarity Day is observed across Pakistan and internationally to raise awareness of the ongoing oppression in IIOJK. Citizens of Azad Kashmir, Pakistan, and the Kashmiri diaspora pledged to continue advocating for their right to self-determination. The day aims to remind the world of the Kashmir dispute and urge concrete action in accordance with UN resolutions.
