COAS General Asim Munir Joins Christian Community to Celebrate Christmas at St. Joseph’s Cathedral

In a gesture reflecting unity and harmony, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir visited St. Joseph’s Catholic Cathedral Church on Wednesday to celebrate Christmas with the Christian community.
The congregation warmly welcomed the COAS, expressing gratitude for his presence on this special occasion. During the celebrations, General Munir extended heartfelt Christmas greetings to the Christian community across Pakistan, emphasizing the importance of compassion, generosity, and goodwill—values that serve as a unifying force in the country’s diverse society.
The COAS acknowledged the significant contributions of the Christian community and other minorities to Pakistan’s development in various spheres, including cultural, social, and economic progress. He highlighted that their contributions are a source of pride and strength for the nation.
General Munir also paid tribute to the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, recognizing his visionary leadership and commitment to the principles of faith, unity, and discipline. The COAS remarked that these principles not only led to the creation of Pakistan but continue to serve as a guide for overcoming present-day challenges, including national security and internal stability.
“As we celebrate this joyous occasion, let us renew our commitment to building the peaceful and prosperous Pakistan envisioned by Quaid-e-Azam,” General Munir stated, urging citizens to unite in working toward a brighter future for the nation.
