ISLAMABAD – Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi conducted an inspection tour late Friday night, visiting key construction sites of ongoing development projects, including flyovers and underpasses at the F-8 Exchange Chowk and Serena Chowk interchanges.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi reviewed the progress of the underpass at the F-8 Exchange Interchange, which has been completed in a record time of just 42 days. He praised the authorities for their efficient work in completing the underpass so quickly and emphasised the importance of greenery around the newly constructed underpasses to improve the aesthetic appeal of the area.

Speaking to the media, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi highlighted the historical achievement of finishing the underpass in just 42 days, marking a significant milestone for urban development in Islamabad. He urged the relevant authorities to accelerate the work on other infrastructure projects at both the F-8 Exchange Interchange and Serena Chowk Interchange, which are expected to alleviate traffic congestion in the capital.

“These projects are crucial for resolving the long-standing issue of traffic jams in Islamabad. Once completed, they will significantly improve traffic flow,” said Naqvi. He also announced that the F-8 Exchange Interchange project would be inaugurated in February.

Earlier on the same day, Naqvi visited the National Police Academy (NPA) and announced plans for its upgrade. He pledged to elevate the NPA to an internationally recognised institution, aiming to enhance its training programs and facilities.
