PM Shehbaz Sharif warns against negligence in Hajj 2025 preparations

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has issued a stern warning that any negligence in the preparations for Hajj 2025 will not be tolerated. The prime minister made the remarks while reviewing the ongoing preparations for the upcoming pilgrimage, emphasising that “Pilgrims are the guests of Allah Almighty.”
During the review meeting, PM Shehbaz directed authorities to ensure the best possible facilities and assistance for the pilgrims during their journey. He instructed officials to prepare a comprehensive briefing on the preparations for Hajj 2025 and present it in the coming days.
The prime minister also called for a detailed briefing on the selection criteria for Moavineen Hajj (Hajj assistants), outlining their responsibilities and other logistical arrangements. He stressed that the training of Hajj staff must be of the highest standard, and only capable officers with a good reputation should be selected for duty.
PM Shehbaz Sharif also emphasised the need to focus on the accommodation, travel, and other facilities for the pilgrims, ensuring merit and transparency in the deployment of Moavineen.
The meeting was attended by Federal Ministers Ahad Khan Cheema, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, and other senior officials. The attendees were informed that, similar to last year, mobile phone SIM cards will be provided to pilgrims, and the mobile application for assisting Hujjaj is now operational.
