Remembering Bano Qudsia: The literary legend on her 8 death anniversary

Today marks the eighth death anniversary of the renowned Pakistani novelist, playwright, and spiritualist, Bano Qudsia. Born on November 28, 1928, in the Indian city of Firozpur, she went on to become one of the most celebrated literary figures in Pakistan. Bano Qudsia was married to Ashfaq Ahmed, another towering figure in Pakistani literature.
Her most cherished works include timeless masterpieces like Na Kabilay Zikar, Bazgasht, Amar Bail, and Dast Basta, which continue to inspire readers to this day. In recognition of her contributions to literature, she was awarded the prestigious Sitara-i-Imtiaz by the Government of Pakistan in 1983.
Bano Qudsia passed away on February 4, 2017, in Lahore, at the age of 88. Her legacy as a writer and spiritualist continues to live on, touching countless lives through her profound works.
