According to Indian media reports, his participation in Sunday’s match remains uncertain. With the crucial game scheduled for 15 February in Colombo, the Abhishek Sharma doubtful for Pakistan match situation has raised concerns within the Indian camp and among fans.

Reports state that Abhishek fell ill after a net session in Mumbai on 6 February, reportedly due to something he ate. His condition worsened the following day during the match against the United States. Although he chose to play, he was dismissed on the very first ball and failed to make an impact.

After that match, Abhishek traveled with the team to New Delhi for the Namibia game. However, his health declined further due to a stomach infection, and he had to be admitted to hospital. He was later discharged before the Namibia match but was not included in the playing XI.
