Actor Tauseeq Haider: “Staying single was the best decision of my life”

Renowned actor and host Tauseeq Haider says that choosing not to marry was one of the wisest decisions he ever made.

In a recent podcast interview, the 55-year-old addressed the common question he faces: “Who will support you in old age?” — to which he responded, “Children are a blessing, not an insurance policy.”

Haider shared that he knows many people living peaceful lives without marriage or children, while others feel lonely despite having families.

He also revealed that he once had an emotional connection in his youth, but it didn’t work out. “Getting married just to satisfy societal expectations goes against my principles,” he said.

Although content with his single life, Tauseeq Haider clarified that he’s not closed off on the idea of marriage entirely: “I still receive proposals, but any decision will be guided by the heart, not pressure.”
