Jakarta: Pakistan’s women’s football team clinched their second consecutive win in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers, defeating Kyrgyzstan 2-1.
Star striker Maryam Mahmood scored both goals for Pakistan — the first in the 4th minute and the second via a penalty in the 26th minute.
The team displayed excellent teamwork and determination, earning crucial points that strengthened their chances of advancing to the next round.
Earlier, Pakistan had defeated host nation Indonesia 2-0 in their opening match — their first international win since September 2023.
Fans and social media users celebrated the back-to-back victories, hailing the team’s impressive performance.
