Islamabad— Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has reiterated Pakistan’s firm stance on illegal residency, stating that no one will be allowed to reside in the country illegally under any circumstances. His comments came during a farewell meeting with U.S. Ambassador Donald Blome, where key discussions on bilateral relations and mutual concerns were held.

The meeting, which took place at the Ministry of Interior, also saw the presence of Federal Interior Secretary Khurram Ali Agha and U.S. Deputy Head of Mission Natalie Baker. Both sides discussed a wide range of issues, including security, diplomacy, and the strengthening of ties between Pakistan and the United States.

Minister Mohsin Naqvi commended Ambassador Blome for his significant contributions to fostering Pak-U.S. relations and expressed his best wishes for the diplomat’s future endeavours. Blome, who has completed his tenure in Pakistan, received heartfelt appreciation from the Pakistani government for his role in enhancing bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, Ambassador Blome condemned the recent terrorist incidents in Pakistan, which have been a source of concern for both countries. Naqvi, in turn, emphasised that terrorism is a global challenge that requires a unified and coordinated approach. He called on the international community to work together to develop a comprehensive strategy for eradicating terrorism in all its forms.
