Apex committee of SIFC to make key decisions in crucial meeting

Islamabad – The Apex Committee of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) is set to convene today (Thursday) for an important meeting to make pivotal decisions regarding the country’s investment landscape and strategic initiatives.
The meeting, which will be chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, will bring together a significant presence of key figures, including military officials, federal ministers, and provincial chief ministers. Sources revealed that the gathering will primarily focus on ratifying the decisions made by the SIFC Executive Committee and deliberating on the future course of action for economic growth and investment facilitation.
A major item on the agenda will be the performance report of the SIFC, which will be presented and thoroughly reviewed by the committee. This report will cover significant developments and the progress made under the council’s initiatives to boost investments and facilitate ease of doing business in Pakistan.
The meeting will also include a briefing on the discoveries of new oil and gas reserves under the SIFC initiative, as well as an update on the overall investment climate in the country. According to sources, participants will receive a detailed analysis of the ongoing investment projects and their outcomes.
In addition, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to provide a comprehensive briefing on investments from friendly countries, highlighting the facilities and support extended to foreign investors as part of Pakistan’s efforts to enhance its economic relations.
