Asia Cup 2025: Pakistan vs India Clash Set for September 7 in Dubai

Cricket fans can rejoice as the much-anticipated schedule for the Asia Cup 2025 has been confirmed, with the blockbuster Pakistan vs India encounter locked in for September 7 in Dubai.

Despite rising tensions between the two nations following the Pahalgam incident, rumours of the tournament’s cancellation have now been put to rest. The Asia Cup 2025 will proceed as scheduled, with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) hosting the event.

According to reports, the tournament is expected to kick off on September 4 or 5, with the high-octane clash between traditional rivals Pakistan and India scheduled just a few days later.

The event will be played in the T20 format, featuring a group stage followed by the Super Four round. If both teams qualify for the Super Four, they could meet again on September 14. A third potential encounter could take place in the final on September 21, depending on their progression.

Although India officially holds the hosting rights for this edition of the Asia Cup, mutual agreement between the cricket boards—driven by political tensions and security concerns—has led to the tournament being shifted to the UAE. India, however, will remain the official host.

A leading Indian broadcaster confirmed the development, stating, “The tournament will go ahead in September, and our team will participate.”
