Big and good news for Hajj 2025 pilgrims

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has officially announced the resumption of applications for the remaining slots under the Government Hajj Scheme for 2025, offering an additional 5,000 pilgrims the opportunity to perform the sacred pilgrimage.
According to ministry sources, the new round of applications is expected to open next week. The move comes after the initial 81,500 applications were received under the government scheme. This increase in the available quota will allow more people to benefit from the government-supported Hajj arrangements.
For these 5,000 remaining slots, the government has opted for a “first come, first served” approach rather than conducting a new ballot. This decision aims to expedite the process and ensure transparency in allocating the remaining slots. The Ministry of Religious Affairs is considering a five-day window to accept applications, ensuring a swift and efficient process for prospective pilgrims.
In related developments, a key meeting regarding private Hajj arrangements was held, chaired by Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Chaudhry Salik Hussain. The meeting was attended by senior officials, including Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi, Special Representative to the Prime Minister on Religious Harmony, and Nasir Khan, Chairman of the Hajj Organisers Association of Pakistan (HOAP).
