Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced a significant increase in cash rewards for national athletes who win medals in international competitions. This landmark decision has been widely appreciated by the sporting community and is seen as a major step toward encouraging excellence in sports.

Olympic Games:

• Gold Medal: PKR 30 million (previously PKR 10 million)
• Silver Medal: PKR 20 million
• Bronze Medal: PKR 10 million

Winter & Paralympic Games:

• Gold Medal: PKR 10 million

Asian Games:

• Gold Medal: PKR 10 million
• Silver Medal: PKR 7 million
• Bronze Medal: PKR 5 million

Commonwealth Games:

• Gold Medal: PKR 7.5 million

Islamic Games:

• Gold Medal: PKR 5 million

Other Recognised Competitions:

• British Junior & US Open Junior Champions: PKR 10 million
• Asian Indoor Games (Gold): PKR 2 million
• SAF Games (Gold): PKR 1 million
• Youth Olympics (Gold): PKR 5 million
• World Championship Winners: PKR 7.5 million

Special Athletes:

The government has also allocated dedicated prize money for athletes participating in Special Olympics, Blind Sports, and Deaf Sports, ensuring inclusive recognition for all categories of competitors.
