Big news for vehicle owners: Punjab introduces new registration rules!

The Punjab government has announced major changes to the Motor Vehicles Ordinance 1965, allowing vehicle owners to re-register vehicles from other provinces in Punjab. This new policy will take effect next month, with all procedures already finalized.
Previously, vehicles had to retain their original registration from the province where they were first registered. However, under the new policy, Punjab residents with vehicles registered in Sindh, Islamabad, and other provinces can now transfer their registration to Punjab.
How to Re-Register Your Vehicle in Punjab?
According to excise officials, vehicle owners must first obtain a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective Motor Registration Authority. The NOC ensures there are no legal issues, fines, or disputes related to the vehicle before transferring the registration.
Lower Fees, Easier Process!
One of the biggest benefits of this policy is that Punjab’s re-registration fees will be lower than new vehicle registration costs, making it a more affordable option for those wanting to legally transfer their vehicle without high expenses.
This simplified process will benefit vehicle owners by ensuring better record-keeping, compliance with local laws, and easy access to vehicle-related services.
With this game-changing policy rolling out soon, vehicle owners across Pakistan residing in Punjab can now register their cars under Punjab’s jurisdiction with ease!
