Bilawal: Pleased If PM Pushes for More Work in Sindh

KARACHI — PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari stated on Saturday that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has raised its objections regarding several issues with the federal government, particularly concerning Karachi’s development projects and the ongoing water crisis.
Speaking to the media, Bilawal emphasized that these matters should be resolved in accordance with the Constitution and the 18th Amendment, which grants greater autonomy to provinces. “We will be pleased if the prime minister wants further work in Sindh,” he added, highlighting the need for better cooperation between the federal and provincial governments.
Bilawal also mentioned that the party’s Central Executive Committee (CEC) will hold a meeting to discuss the political situation. He revealed that he had recently met with the Prime Minister and would share the details in the upcoming CEC meeting.
On the Gaza issue, Bilawal expressed concern about the ongoing violence, stating that the region has been experiencing a genocide for the last two years. He praised the recent developments as a major success in raising international attention to the issue.
PPP to Hold CEC Meeting in Karachi
The People’s Party’s CEC meeting, chaired by President Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto, is set to take place at 4:00 pm today in Karachi.
The meeting will provide updates on the ongoing talks with the federal government, including discussions on the power-sharing formula in Punjab. The party’s leadership will also address recent anti-PPP statements from the Punjab Chief Minister and provincial ministers.
