China Reaffirms Strong Support for Pakistan in High-Level Meeting

Islamabad hosted a high-level meeting between Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Pakistan’s Army Chief, Field Marshal Asim Munir. The talks focused on strengthening strategic cooperation and promoting regional peace. Both sides reaffirmed their long-standing partnership and shared commitment to stability.
Wang Yi reassured Pakistan of China’s unwavering support. He said Beijing backs Pakistan’s sovereignty, security, and development without any conditions. He praised Pakistan’s Army as a “pillar of national stability” and a “guardian of China–Pakistan friendship.”
The Chinese Foreign Minister stressed that global uncertainty has not weakened bilateral ties. He described China–Pakistan relations as “as solid as a rock.” He underlined the importance of close coordination between the two nations in changing regional dynamics.
Field Marshal Asim Munir highlighted Pakistan’s deep trust in China. He described Beijing as Pakistan’s “iron brother.” He also pledged that Pakistan will ensure full protection of Chinese projects and personnel working in the country.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed ongoing cooperation in security, economy, and development. They also discussed ways to expand collaboration across multiple sectors. The leaders agreed that stronger cooperation would bring stability and prosperity to the region.
