Couple Killed in Balochistan After 7 Years of Love Marriage

Mastung (July 30, 2025) – A tragic honor killing took place in Balochistan as a couple was murdered by the woman’s brothers. The killers invited their sister and her husband to dinner and then took their lives. The incident happened seven years after the couple married without family approval.
According to 365 News, the murder occurred in the Lakpass area of Mastung, near the old customs office. The couple had married for love and were living peacefully. However, the woman’s family had never accepted the relationship. Her brothers carried out the crime under the name of “honor.”
Police officials said the woman was pregnant at the time of the attack. Her brothers invited her and her husband to a meal and then killed them. The incident took place on Tuesday morning at a small hotel. The attack was reportedly planned.
The victims were both between 27 and 28 years old, police said. The husband, Mohammad Shoaib, belonged to the Chitkan area of Panjgur. He had married the woman seven years ago in a court in Quetta’s Hazarganji area. The marriage had created tension with her family.
Police have registered a case and launched a search for the suspects. So far, no arrests have been made. The incident highlights the ongoing threat of honor-based violence in parts of Pakistan. Authorities say they are actively working to bring the killers to justice.
