ISLAMABAD – The Islamabad District and Sessions Court has issued an order for the arrest of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur in connection with an ongoing investigation into the illegal recovery of arms and liquor.

During a hearing led by Judicial Magistrate Mubashir Hassan Chishti, neither Ali Amin Gandapur nor his legal counsel, Raja Zahoor-ul-Hassan, were present in the court. This marked another instance of the absence of both the accused and his representative from the proceedings.

In addition, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations failed to submit a compliance report regarding the previous arrest warrant issued for Gandapur, leading to the court’s expressed dissatisfaction. Judge Mubashir Hassan Chishti voiced frustration over the lack of cooperation and the persistent nonappearance of the accused and his lawyer.

As a result, the court directed the SSP Operations to take immediate action to arrest Ali Amin Gandapur and produce him before the court during the next hearing, set for January 21. The case continues to draw significant attention due to the high-profile nature of the accused and the serious charges involved.

This development follows a series of legal challenges for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister, with the court’s latest order underlining the seriousness with which it is pursuing the case. Authorities are now under pressure to enforce the court’s directive and ensure Gandapur’s presence in the next session.

Further updates on the case are expected in the coming days.
