Crucial decision on Saim Ayub’s future expected next week

(Web Desk) – A key decision regarding the future of Pakistan’s young batter, Saim Ayub, is expected next week as he awaits medical clearance following an injury sustained during the Cape Town Test against South Africa in January.
British medical specialists will conduct a detailed assessment on Tuesday to evaluate Ayub’s condition and provide recommendations. Their findings will determine whether the 22-year-old opener will be fit to participate in PSL 10, which is set to begin on April 11.
Despite the injury, Saim Ayub has resumed training, showing determination to make a comeback. In a proactive step, Pakistani trainer Hanif Malik has travelled to London at Ayub’s request to assist in his rehabilitation process.
It is worth noting that Saim Ayub was unable to participate in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 due to a right ankle injury. Additionally, Pakistan will also miss his presence in the upcoming white-ball series against New Zealand.
