Curfew Imposed in Bajaur for 12 Hours

Authorities in Bajaur have imposed a 12-hour curfew starting Monday morning. The curfew began at 11 a.m. and will remain in effect until 11 p.m. The district administration issued an official notice to inform residents about the restrictions. The move is aimed at controlling movement and maintaining order in the area.
According to the district administration, residents must end all activities by 10:30 a.m. and stay indoors. Officials warned that anyone found moving unnecessarily would be responsible for their own actions. Security personnel have been deployed across key locations to enforce the curfew. This step is seen as a precautionary measure to avoid any untoward incidents.
Public gatherings and outdoor activities are strictly prohibited during the curfew hours. Markets, offices, and public transport services have been suspended for the day. Authorities have advised citizens to stock essential supplies beforehand. Medical emergencies will be the only exception for movement during the curfew period.
Meanwhile, security measures are also being tightened in other parts of the country. In Murree, local authorities have decided to impose Section 144 from August 12 to August 14. The order will prohibit public gatherings and certain activities in the hill station. The decision comes ahead of the Independence Day celebrations.
Officials said the enforcement of Section 144 in Murree is aimed at ensuring public safety. Large crowds are expected to visit the popular tourist spot during the holiday period. Security forces will be stationed in and around major entry points. Surveillance teams will monitor compliance with the order.
