A decommissioned aircraft from Karachi reached Thatta early this morning as part of its journey to Hyderabad Airport. The massive plane, measuring 160 feet in length and weighing 60 tonnes, travelled via road under tight security. Its route included stops at Dhabeji, Gharo, and Gujjo before arriving at the Thatta bypass.

The aircraft is being transported to Hyderabad on a 138-wheeler trailer, which began its journey from Karachi. After crossing Keenjhar Lake, the trailer passed through Jhirk and is now on its way to its final destination. According to the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA), this aircraft has been out of service since 2011.

The aircraft originally belonged to AMC Airlines and was part of a flight route from Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, to Quetta. In 2011, it was grounded at Karachi Airport following an emergency landing due to technical issues. Fortunately, all 74 passengers on board were safely evacuated during the incident.
