Demolition of Muslim Homes Continues in India

In Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s India, bulldozer politics are in full force as the demolition of Muslim homes continues in India. Muslim neighborhoods are being targeted under the guise of law enforcement, raising serious concerns about human rights violations and religious discrimination across the country.
In September this year, during Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ celebrations in Uttar Pradesh, Muslims displayed posters reading “I Love Muhammad ﷺ.” Following this, the Yogi Adityanath government ordered bulldozers to demolish several Muslim houses, and many people were charged with promoting religious hatred.

Although India’s Supreme Court has declared such demolitions illegal, the extremist-led state government has ignored the rulings. Since 2017, thousands of Muslim homes in Uttar Pradesh have been destroyed under the so-called “bulldozer policy,” displacing countless families without any legal justification.
Under Modi’s rule, the principles of secularism and equality guaranteed by India’s constitution have been undermined. Muslims face growing challenges in education, employment, and religious freedom, while the ideology of the Hindu extremist group RSS has increasingly influenced state policies.

According to global observers, this campaign reflects a state-backed drive to marginalize Muslims, posing a grave threat to human rights and democracy. Despite international concern, silence prevails — and the demolition of Muslim homes continues in India.
